Introducing Chef Adrienne Rockhold to Tempe!!
We are excited and proud to open our first location with Chef Adrienne on staff. Adrienne graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island.
She is a Tucson native who put her degree and talents to work as a Pastry Chef in fine restaurants such as Sassi Ristorante Italiano in Scottsdale and Miraval Resort in Tucson. She has created and produced many delectable items including gelato, pies, cakes, tarts, specialty coffee and tea beverages and diet-specific desserts.
At Mercato del Gelato, Adrienne will be directly involved with all of our gelato, sorbet, pastry and coffee menus. She'll be responsible for choosing, preparing and garnishing our unique selection of flavors. She is looking forward to developing new recipes, some of which will be based on suggestions from our customers. Her extensive baking and pastry background also make her perfect for choosing appetizing and beautiful assortments for our ever-changing pastry case.
Adrienne has a documented history of not only preparing, but also consuming gelato. Her favorite flavors are hazelnut-stracciattella and green apple-basil sorbet. In addition to gelato, pastries and coffee, she also knows a thing or two about knitting and motorcycles. She comes to Mercato del Gelato with the highest recommendations and a reputation for being creative and having a wonderful sense of flavor combinations. We know she will fulfill our expectations and those of our customers.
